I always ignore calls that are "outside of WA" esp 02821***** (Sydney Busness District)
Even called on Australia Day.. Take a break mongrels. Those that hide their number definitely never get answered.

I've been getting phone calls from this number every day for about two weeks now, sometimes more than once a day. I've either not been in, and they always hang up when the answering machine comes on, or not answered as I don't know the number. If it was important they'd leave a message, wouldn't you think?!
After reading all your comments I still won't be answering!!!

I donated to the Red Cross from this number a few months back. Money was taken from my account but couldn't get a receipt (for tax) no matter what. Feel a little scammed, just hope it goes to the cause

Generally these are companies set up to profit from charities, from what I remember at least 40% of the donation is taken as commission (this includes many of the door knockers during the Salvos door knock appeal), from the charities point of view i guess it's better than nothing, personally we shouldn't need charities, the governments should take care of their people better and be providing these services, noting the largest percentage of charity donations is NOT from the rich, but from the middle classes, the rich are just to greedy and profit mostly from the hard work of others

Just got a call from this number, saying they were from the Red Cross. If they call again ill be asking to be taken off their register. No idea how they got my number? Telstra maybe? I don't know

Rang and asked to be removed from call list. We receive around 6 calls a day from this number and because we are a business we have to answer all calls. It is very annoying. We do not take unsolicited calls and have never been on any big bake cake sales fundraisers. Hopefully we do not receive anymore calls from this number.

spoke with Andrew of the red cross raffle infoormation, told him making contribution through salary sacrifice and he promptly removed name from call listing.

It is a generic calling machine for Australian Red Cross. Apparently it is supposed to give you a message when you answer but it hasn't been working. If it is annoying you, just call the number back and speak to someone. They will put you on their own 'Do Not Call' Register.

This number calls my house at least twice a day and never leaves a message. They have been doing it now for months. I never answer it now, leaving it to the answering machine to take, and they always hang up. I have recently lost my job and I am not contributing to any charities and feel even less obliged to pesky ones that continually call!

Answered the phone a few times with no one on the other end, now just let it ring out. Don't get the hint though.
