I have been persistently receiving these calls last 3 days. I was expecting a sales call and happened to miss this one the first time and second time. Now its been consistent which looks like was the same one ?

HEY GUYS!
just got a few missed called from this company, and then finally got to pick one up.
It's from a company called Sales Force. they were calling me on behalf of HSBC regarding a new finance/loan i have taken out for a major purchase recently.
My best guess at this point is that it is a company that is set up to promote and market goods and services that may interest existing clientelle and customers of other companies.
the guy on the phone was fairly polite, and when i asked him if this was any form of sales, marketing, upgrade, survey etc.. he kindly replied that it was a sales call to see if i was interested in upgraded my credit card insurance.

I have a HSBC credit card and they have called a few times and the call just ends when I pickup, I have added this to my auto reject list, so my phone does not ring when they call. When I initially got the card they wanted me to take out life insurance.

You were lucky this time that it was not a scam. Or was it. When you ring back a missed land line call, it may go through a series of "press this number to get to this service" sort of s**t and in the meantime it may be costing you $20 a minute. These scams do exist. So play it safe and do not ring back ever to anyone that hangs up on you. Or get a prepaid mobile service if you are that bloody curious.

How can this be stopped?? had that number call my mobile for the last 3 days, over it!! (02) 8217 8185...

I continually get the calls, I keep missing them though, but no message is left, nothing, just daily calls!

I have received a call from this number everyday for over a week now. My phone number always seems to get telemarketer calls so I know never to answer or call back. M theory is if it was important they would call my home or emergency contact. I also recently got a HSBC credit card.
