My Optus phone showed 'Potential Fraud' so didn't answer. Rang back on another phone and got a message from Vodaphone - press 1 for portage or 2 to expand (whatever that is).

Scammers do not answer. A robo message plays and asks you if you are the owner of the number or if you are using that persons phone. It hopes you say yes so I’ve can record it and use it against you to potentially charge you stuff and use your “yes” as proof you agree to being charged

Called back after I missed the call, IVR says it was Vodafone. Couldn't get through to an operator. I'm not with Vodafone.

I contacted Vodafone's team and they have confirmed that this number is NOT a Vodafone number. It is therefore a scam.

Called for only a few seconds before I missed the call. Called back - IVR said it was Vodafone - "press 1 for porting, 2 for expand". No option to speak to an operator. Pressing either option prompts for an account pin - which I do not have as I am with Optus and have not been with Vodafone for a long time. Seems like a scam.
