Yep it is Citibank trying to sell life insurance.
I got one call the day before I went overseas and then got one immediately when I returned - and about one a day since then.
I too asked them to email me details - just to be polite - and the calls have been coming in every day since then.
I'm just going to email them back and tell them I'm not interested and to stop calling me.
It's not the employee's fault. They have to drum up business so they can pay their outgoing CEO his multi-million dollar payout for doing a crummy job.

" Even though I'm a customer, I will be reporting them to the Ombudsman if they don't stop!"
Why not ask them to remove you from their calling list!
Or even better yet sign into you account and untick the option to receive marketing calls!
It really is not hard...

Last time I was getting these calls I told them I wasn't interested and to stop calling. This time, I answer my phone and then put it down on my iPod speakers just to waste their time.

Citibank have been harassing me for the last 6 mths, sometimes 2 or 3 calls a day. I even received one at midnight once!
Even though I'm a customer, I will be reporting them to the Ombudsman if they don't stop!

i just had an ugly disturbing call from this number, someone really drunk and threatening (or at least acting this way). I sort of recognised the number and remember being oddly harrassed for a while by Citbank employees for awhile, which jogged me into Googling it. It must be a bunch of disgrunteld employees employing the collective brain power of an ant but it isn't pretty to listen to. I hope the federal police are looking into these guys.

Citibank selling stuff, but if you are registered on the do not call register and are not a citibank customter, make a complaint to the DNC people and the calls stop.

It is Citibank and I just rang the number back and said I keep getting calls from this number and I want them to stop. He said he would make a note of it. Hopefully that works. Will complain to telecommunication Ombudsman next as once advised they have to remove you from the list.

Citibank (mis)selling Life Insurance ... try and get you to sign up on the phone - I asked for some detail on email when eventually came after a couple more calls.

Like Max said if Citibank are paying a company to do this they are getting ripped off. It seems iSelect hire the same company too. Never leave your mobile number with them.

I get this phone at least once every 2 days. Sometimes twice in one day. I answer the phone and then hang up. It's costing the other end money if the call connects.
