It's citibank trying to sell something, harmless but just a tad annoying!

If it is indeed Citibank (which makes sense considering they called my gf too and she also is a customer of theirs)... why do they hang up just after connecting? What sort of telemarketer hangs up on you? lol

CITIBANK definitely - selling insurance.
I am a customer of theirs.
A nice enough young lady, doing her job, but obviously makes a commission if policies sold over the phone. It took a little convincing to have details emailed to me before I commit. I will not buy anything from anyone over the phone if they call me.

You can ring Citibank on 13citi and tell them to remove your number from their marketing list

Caught me once, said I agreed to talk about Insurance when I signed up for Foxtel?

A call from 02 when you're in Melbourne is never a good thing! LOL

I am on the do-not-call register, and have been for several years. The company that "calls" is Peakbound, claiming to be Citibank.

Their contact details are:

L3, 20-40 Meagher Street
Chippendale, NSW 2008
Sydney Australia

Phone: (02) 9191 1667
Fax: (02) 9690 0176

Email: info @ peakbound.com.au

Their Chief Executive Officer, Mike Adams (mike.adams @ peakbound.com.au) is also the Chairman for the ADMA. It's a shame his company does not follow the guidelines set out by the very Do-not-call register they supposedly support.

I made a complaint to the ACMA and called Peakbound to be removed from their call database. Not holding much hope for either of these working.

I've been getting calls from this number on a daily basis for weeks now. I can't confirm who it is that is calling. They wait until voicemail picks up then they hang up, no message.

If you experience dropped calls it's actually how the out-dated Telstra product is being managed. Peakbound is a legitimate business who provide insurance to an unforgiving market. The easiest way to avoid calls every day is to have some sense to say your not interested or place yourselves on the national do not call register. It's not easy selling insurance for institutions such as Citibank as they are not the insurer. They are the distributor. So many of you cover your car and house but not yourselves. Insurance can be a spare tyre for your lives not your car.

This is a scam telemarketing company claiming to be Citibank.
They will ask for your credit card details.
Do not respond.

Citibank.. when they hang up, they are just meeting their call KPI's - when they speak they are hunting commission from sales. Just don't answer the call and they have to write 'no answer' in their database.. thus no reward to the caller

This number just rang me. I have it on my blocked caller list. Then a second later I got a "private number" call. I understand it's Citibank insurance. They've been calling me for over a year, but this is the first time they've tried that tactic.
