They called me and told me I had a car accident in the past 2 years, somehow they had my name. The person on the other line sounded like he had an Indian accent. I asked him where my personal information comes from and he replied from "The claimer", I then asked for his name and the company's ABN and told him I am gonna press charges, he laughed said good day and dropped the line. I tried to call back but I got an optus message telling me that the line is disconnected.

Caller: (02) 8103 2093 Definitely a accident scam. Called me today asking about my claim. And when I continued to question him about who he was and who referred my case to him he couldn’t answer, got frazzled and he hung up.

Keeps calling on a daily basis. Have ignored most but on the two occasions I have answered, there is no one there. No connected for return call.

This number called me and hung up as soon as I answered. When I tried to call back, I got an automatic message from Optus saying the number was disconnected. Do not answer this number.

Had a couple of calls from this number over a year or so ago. Was asked the same question ' have you been involved in an accident recently?' Fortunately I remembered this forum from last time he called and had a fair idea it was him because of the same MO. (I was on a new phone so the number was unblocked) I asked him 'why is he doing this' I told him he's upsetting a lot of people. There was an awkward pause and then he hung up on me. My young daughter just got a new phone recently and got a call from this number as soon as the phone was connected. It feels like there's a breech at tpg leaking new numbers out.

Had a call from this number today, the person stated that i had an accident within the last 3 yrs. When i asked whom they represented myself or the other party involved and how much they wanted, they got defensive and and ended the phone call.

Caller: Scammer Called and said it was regarding the 'accident I had in the last 2 years'. Yeah, last accident I had was nearly 10 years ago. I just said 'Nope, try better next time' and hung up. Pity, I really should have strung him along for a while so he couldn't scam someone else, but never mind. If this number calls you - BEWARE, it's a scam.
If you have the ability, lead them on, the longer you can keep them on the line- the less time they will have to scam someone else. I don't understand what they thought they were going to get out of this... Oh well...

Caller advised me that I had been in a recent accident and that the other party admitted full responsibility, but could not provide any details - instead asking me to confirm them for him. kept asking leading questions as if to have me answer YES which i did not do (can be used for recorded message acceptance of terms) gave me a call back number and stated to ask for him - Peter WOLF. Strong indian accent. (02) 8103 2093. did not call

Said something about an accident so I told him in no uncertain terms where to go, and he says something about no need to get rude, when the fact is he is trying to steal from me. Why can't we stop these calls?
