I received a call from this number on the 8/10/09 that was just a loud scratching sound ..I returned the call and got an answering machine from a charity foundation selling tickets.... I don't think so wish the would bugger off

I just had a missed call from this number and I have also had missed calls from other numbers that have been mentioned here. I dont think they are actually a scam as such, but they are a paid service. They are paid to call on behalf of the charity they mention, which is why they can get away with calling numbers on the DNC register. Because they are a paid service it means that very little of any money you donate, or any raffle tickets you buy actually ends up with the charity concerned. I too am getting really ticked off by these calls.

I also got the call from this number. I just missed the call as i have my home phone mostly on silence. Why would they call on a saturday at 5.45pm? No idea how many times they already called me. I can't believe it, they called twice in 5 minutes. The person on the other end told me that my number is the winner of a holiday. He hang up when i asked for his phone number. I'm also in Perth
