Get a mobile security software for your mobile (e.g. Kaspersky) & add the caller's number to your "BLACKLIST" so it can't come through to pester you again.

Just Optus calling to give me a free $30 recharge for my iPad as my account was about to expire. Incessant calling throughout the week from this number was annoying but the end result not so bad. Wish they'd just sent me a text regarding the offer as they did last time. Much less irritating.

These guys keep calling me too - the usual, call and don't leave a message. I've never answered one of their calls yet and i don't intend to. If your the person calling and reading all these, please stop. You're annoying alot of people.

I have also hjave been getting calls from this number daily. I answered this morning and they hung up on me (Mind you it's a SATURDAY), so they have just rang me back to tell me they are putting $30 credit on my Optus Tablet. I asked what the catch was, they said no catch, but they noticed it was about to expire, and they wanted to keep me using their service... hahaha I don't mind $30 free credit!!

I have gotten 4 calls a day from this number and when I answer and say "hello" (as civilised people do when they answer the phone unlike the scum calling) they would hang up instantly. I am a young professional male who is not going to be scammed so they will not even bother talking to me. They are trained to identify the voice of the person answering and if it sounds like someone more likely to fall for their scam (i.e. older person, young people, etc) they will try. Even then they kept calling and just hanging up, I assume it just goes to another operator to try and scam. Best thing to do, play them at their own game, answer but DO NOT say anything, even if they say "hello", just stay silent on the end of the line. They hang up soon after and the calls eventually stopped. If we all do this they will at least have to pay for all the calls as opposed to them calling without you answering

If you call the number - it's optus and they say you may have had a missed call from the number, and they were just calling to see if you were happy with your service. If you actually answer the call, you can tell them to stop calling.

This number has called me twice in the last 2 days. It rings once and then hangs up. I'm 99% sure its a scam for you to ring them back thus saving them the cost of the call

3 missed calls in the last few days. It rings for only a few seconds. Been wondering who the heck it is. Seems like it's not something that I need to answer judging by these comments!

I've been getting calls from this number as well. It doesnt ring long enough to actually allow me to pick up. I called the number back, and a recorded message said it was Optus checking to see if i was happy with their service. Very annoying!
