Got a call and it was an Indian woman saying hello over and over again, called them back and sat on the phone to no ringtone but a voice saying “your call is very important to us. Please stay on the line and we will transfer you to the next available agent”

Very similar experience to others posting here .... very heavily accented person.... very unsure of themselves and quick to put the phone down when I said that I wasn't there! When I called back, same as above ..... long wait, no answer.

Caller: 'On line Investments'

Have the same and very similar number call multiple times because 'I expressed interest in on-line investing'. Have repeatedly said I'm not and please delete my contact details.

Scam

Answered the call - an Indian lady on the otherside saying she is not selling anything - hung up straight away and blocked.

Called from "Australian Lifestyle Research" asked for their website which was apparently "AustralianLifestyleResearch.au" which is not a website. They then said "AustralianLifestyleResearch.com.au" which also is not a website. I asked who they represent and they said that they do not represent the government and are calling on their own behalf. Knew my name and state and said they were calling from my state. When questioned about why the number was coming from NSW, they said they were having technical difficulties with the phone number. Asked them to remove my number from their system - they agreed and hung up.

Received the call. They asked if they were speaking to my name, before answering I asked what it was about and they again asked to confirm if I was X. I again asked what it's about and they hung up.

Caller: Unkown

Received a call this morning from Sydney number. The woman's voice said 2 hellos then hung up. I don't return calls from unknown and unidentified numbers.
I presume it is another nuisance or scam call.

yeah they called me just now, I didn't answer but I called back and got some automated message, gotta be a scam phone caller

Same thing happened to me, annoying

Called my mobile, answered it, got a clicking sound then silence so i ended the call - blocked and deleted. Only answered because i am waiting on a call from Sydney.

Caller: research/survey

person called for survey. strangest is that they know name as it set on Facebook, and that name is only there, nowhere else. When asked how she got my number, she said that the researchers gave it to her, then hangup.

Just another pest / scam.
Answer mobile silence then hang up?

SCAM

Rang, picked up, waited for them to talk, they hang up after 5 seconds. Blocked

Answered the call, but silence on the other end, I assume a scam call

Caller: I don’t know

Caller stated ‘your call is very important to us’… I will transfer your call to the next ‘agent’!
I assume it’s a SCAM! Voice sounded deep and as if a covering was worn over the mouth to disguise voice. Blocked and deleted. (02) 8073 4133

Caller: Australian Lifestyle Choice Survey

2 minute survey about how Covid has affected your lifestyle (employed? Living with how many people, have you invested during the past 12 months, etc) seemed pretty harmless so I agreed to the survey. Didn’t sound like a typical scam as no questions were asked about $, bank account details or any private or personal information.

Called my mobile phone. I feel they’d inadvertently allowed a message to be recorded. However, there was only silence and perhaps wind from outside.

No message left from this Sydney based caller. Lets assume its a scam caller.
Just block, delete and report this number to avoid any heartache.
