it is that number  (02) 8064 3473 that i received and all of sudden , it's gone

Same deal.  Call then hang up.  DO NOT call back unknown numbers.  You can be billed for them.  I used to be an investigator with the ACCC and these kind of scams were going around a few years ago.Also report it to the Telecommunications Ombudsman.

Sadly I think these guys are ignoring the "Do not call" register as I am registered with them anyway.... 4th call in a month.. sigh

i have been having calls from this number on my mobile and i think its the same as the ones i get on my home phone about a holiday, i decided to wait on the line and i was transfered to some woman with an American accent, i tried to hang up but she left the line open so when i picked it up to check the number the woman was still there, i asked her to hang up and she was going on about the holiday , i asked her who she was "susie Q" where she was calling fron "Greenland" the company name "blah blah"(cant remember) i asked her who i could complain to "you mother" my mum is staying with me at the moment and she thought  she could have given her an earfull, i had to unplug the phoneline and i think this worked, Where can i go to make a complaint about it

I got the call 5 minutes ago, but missed answering so googled the number. After reading the posts I now know it's the same call I have had on my other mobile and home number just recently.I am on the DO NOT CALL register what is it with these people.
