Same thing as everyone else, missed calls on my mobile while I'm at work and no message. They caught me on the way into my local IGA. If I have the opportunity to answer their next phone call, I will pretend I don't speak English and put them off calling again :)

I've been getting missed calls too, from this number, for months now. Thanks to this board I have just called Amnesty and have asked them to ensure I don't get any more calls.

It's Amnesty International.
I was told they might try calling to "thank me for signing their petition" but i've now had 15 missed calls on my phone.
I answered one and told them I am not interested in giving them money because I only give to charities of my own choice but they're still ringing... Frustrating

Thanks to reverseaustralia I know who this number belongs to now. Because I signed a petition to save children in Sudan, I'm being bombarded with phone calls from this number. Luckily my handset (Samsung) has a 'call block' function so it doesn't ring, but I still get a message that they called and today someone left a voice-to-text message saying "Hey this is frustrating cos". Weird message to leave, but I'm glad the desired effect has been achieved.

(02) 8035 4341 have been ringing me regularly - it is a missed call number when I get home in the evening. When I have rung it back, you get a brief male voice saying we are sorry we missed your call but we will be in touch. I find you can't catch the name of the company. I also tried to ring back with various versions of their number hoping to speak to a actual person eg. (02) 8035 4340 / 8035 4300 - but got the male voice message. It was quite a few months ago when I too signed a petition in Hyde Park in Sydney. So today going onto reverseaustralia has been very helpful.
Now seeing the call is coming from Amesity Australia - i looked up their number on the White pages and the phone number is 1300 300 920 . ((Promoting and Defending Human Rights General Enquiries /Donations)).
So I rang this and pressed the option I was giving a Donation. I spoke to a male and I gave my number for removal from all their "lists".

This number has been calling constantly over the last three months after I signed their petition. They claimed that they would not call and it has been constant. I will not sign another petition for them - shame as they do good work generally.

I am being rang at least five times a day. I signed a petition in Wynnum. I was accosted on the street to sign which I politely declined then ten minutes later the AI guy actually came in to my shop, wandered around looking at thinigs, then hit me up to sign his petition. I just wanted him the hell away from my shop!

My husband apparently signed a petition with Amnesty giving them my mobile number and our home number and they've been calling every day on both phones. I don't answer and they never leave a message so I don't know why they are still calling!

Never sign a petition. Although you are told you will not receive calls or requests for donations, they are on you like a starving hyena almost immediately...calls several times daily and never leave a message. Hang up and they still call back....exercise extreme caution.

Signed the Amnesty petition. A dozen calls to me so far, which I have not answered. Return calls don't take a message. 2evolve is running the campaign for Amnesty and a number of other organisations.

same here; signed a petition at Fortitude Valley one day, the next day I was approached at that same location for membership (which I declined) and now they keep calling me. Great organisation, no doubt - but I don't like this approach.
