Numerous calls no message left as i dont answer unknown numbers...usually block but havent seen many other complaints...anyone know who this is?

So since Tuesday 16th July I have had 22 calls from this number - blocked it after I received 3 calls in a row before 8.30am one day. I have now lodged a formal complaint with both Citibank and the Banking Ombudsman as the law states that you cannot be contacted more than 3 times per week and NO MORE than 10 times in a month - any more calls than this is classified as HARRASSMENT.... Is it any wonder their customers get so annoyed with them when they just don't have any idea about leaving people alone....

All the other messages are correct in as far as you can’t call the number back - but it is legitimately Citibank. As always never provide personal information and call them back on their publicly listed number.

Potential fraud. I picked up the phone and they said they are from Citibank - tried to get me to tell them my details for verification. I refused to give any details and said I'll call them back via Citibank legit contact number. Later on, when I spoke to the real Citibank customer service, they checked their records and told me that noone called me from Citibank.

It is Citibank. They have their fingers in a lot of pies. In my case they’re ringing about my Virgin Mastercard, but they’ve rung me three times today alone and never leave a message. So technically I don’t know who it is and have blocked them. They can send me a letter.

They were ringing to let me know I had an overdue payment on my credit card. I don't have a Citibank card but they are affiliated with Bank of Queensland who I do have an account with.

Caller: They say they act on Behalf of NAB

I received a call the lady misrepresented herself. Said she was calling from NAB and stated my full name. I asked her the reason for the call, she responded with: " I can't tell you, but do you authorize for me to continue". I asked who she was again, she then said: I'm calling on behalf of NAB. I said: "If you're not NAB and calling 'on behalf of', you originally misrepresented yourself as NAB, so what is your company name?". She said "Citi, Bank, we are calling on behalf of NAB who we represent and have taken over". I asked the nature of the call again. She said: "I can't tell you". I said: "please do not call me and I am not interested, since you have misrepresented". She quickly said: "I will call you another time when convenient and hung up". Obviously misrepresenting, inappropriate and an unlawful call, that is turning into harassment".

You don't need a citibank account for these pests to call you. I have a Coles Mastercard which is owned by Citibank. They use to ring me and they are trying to push their promotions. I told them I wasn't interested and it had stopped. It has started again. I will now close my Coles Mastercard.

It is NAB (on behalf of Citibank, who they recently acquired) chasing up repayments. If you have any financial services with them, then this is obviously why they are calling you.

Called again today, Saturday. Asked for my real name but the call was bad and she said she was from National Australia Bank. Told her banks don't call on a Saturday, I don't have dealings with NAB and to scam someone else. She hung up.
