Tax scammer HANG UP !!!!

Caller: Recorded message claiming to be ATO

I received a call from this number, starts as a recorded message claiming to be the tax office and there is a warrant out for my arrest, if I hang up at any time the police will arrest me, at this point I hung up.

This is the third time this has happened to me with 3 different numbers.

Stay aware people don't give them any money

Caller: ATO threating me with court action within days in the Federal Court

I called back they said Australian Taxation Office. I do not pay tax as I am aged pensioner.
When i quoted this they hung up. This is a government number located just outside the Australian Capital Territory located in NSW. I phoned the ATO on their help line and they said all was clear. RECOMMENDATION:- CHECK WITH AUTHORITY HELP LINE NUMBER

As advised by others - ATO amateur scam. SURELY the government can take action to stop these people, given the evidence mounting up. Apart from wasting time, it costs to return the calls and also can scare vulnerable people.

Called me twice in a matter of 3 hours

Caller: Recorded message claiming to be ATO

I received a call from this number, left a recorded message claiming to be the tax office and there is a warrant out for my arrest

Caller: (‭(02) 8007 3680‬

Called telling me there was a court case against me and that if I did not call back immediately a warrant for my arrest would be sent out .. claiming to be ATO

So Dodgy it’s laughable, but I suppose some more vulnerable peeps can be conned by the threat of arrest

Some Rubbish about Tax Office in an Electronic Voice

Just received a call from this number stating ATO case file against me, wanting to know my details.... Scam!!! ATO should already have my details!!!

I called back number (02) 8007 3680 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.
