Claims to be Australian Federal Police acting on behalf of the ATO. Recorded message.

Michael Brown said he was from the ATO said I was going to be taken to court and want my number and then my Home Address after calling me on my mobile

Missed call, but message left said from ATO, gave a reference number and that legal case was pending. I believe this is a scam

Claimed to be from Aus Tax office saying there is a warrant for my arrest for tax evasion. Requested I return their call on this number to avoid being imprisoned. Recorded message

Recorded message. Starts off with 'and your reference number is Alex 6972' Says legal case going to be filed against me. There is a warrant for my arrest. Call the taxation call office on (02) 8006 9020. Don't ignore.

pre-recorded message claiming to be Australian Federal Police and to contact this number immediately as legal action is being taken. Repeats number twice and ends with "don't ignore" - I contacted ATO (legit ATO) who took details and taking action

Please be aware that there is a scam purporting themselves to be from the Australian Taxation Office. It is a voice recorded message stating "pending legal action and a warrant for arrest." The message ends with "not to ignore this message and to call (02) 8006 9020" This scam has been going since December 2017. If you are contacted do not provide any personal information especially your Tax File Number. IF you are contacted then phone the ATO immediately on 13 28 61 or report to 1800 008 540.

Recorded message CLAIMING to be AFP on behalf of ATO saying you have been reported and there's a warrant for your arrest. Laughable really!! :)

Claiming to be ATO and threatening with court case, jail etc. Requesting to call back. Why doesn't the government do something about scams like this?

I received the same recorded message from this number at 12.05pm Mon 12/2/18

A recorded message, a little garbled. But something about the ATO and legal action. Finished with a somewhat sinister 'Don't Ignore'

I did not call back. I find this very annoying. Can someone do something about stopping these messages please.
