21 calls and counting today... ;-\

I don't care what I signed for them. I feel like I'm being harassed! I've blocked their number (02) 8006 8916) but still get a message every few hours telling me I received a hang up message from them. They aren't going to receive my support for anything from now in if this is what's going to happen!

they're calling once a week, and as soon as I pick up, then hang up! It's confusing and irritating!

Yep its greenpeace, I answered it once and told them to ring back later now they wont stop, I blocked the number on my mobile, Hopefully that stops it :/

FYI guys i work in a telco call center
the reason it rings and hangs up is the automatic dialer
the computer rings 2-3 numbers at a time, when the phone gets answered it goes to a consultant.
if theres no consultants available then it hangs ups.
to those getting it more then every 4 hours you can lodge a complaint against them through your governments telecommunications ombudsman.

Weekly calls here also, after reading this I have blocked the number. No more calls now!

I keep getting calls and just hangs up. It's really annoying. I never return the call but they keep ringing.

Its not a melbourne number. Melbourne numbers begin with 03 Its from Nsw as it is an 02 number. Im having the same issues

I have also been receiving calls from this number on my home fixed line. I called my telco (Telstra) and they blocked the number. I suggest everyone does the same. I just hope it works! Fingers crossed.

I signed up to Greenpeace emails, getting a few calls. Blocked number, hopefully it works

It's a marketing company in Melbourne with a fundraising contract for Greenpeace, solar energy and a few others. They got your number from previous donations or any online petition, competition or mailing list where you've agreed to receive updates from 3rd party providers.

calling weekly, noone there when picked up

GRRR this number calls me almost everyday and always at the worst times at work! havnt had anyone on the other end ever, they just hang up as soon as i answer...

Twice, three times a day! Come on! What the hell do you want from me????

The number is Greenpeace collecting funds for their campaigns. When you sign the petitions going around on Facebook or wherever and submit your email and phone number- they then contact you later for more support. I would suggest not signing the petitions if you don't want to give them your support or receive phone calls.

They called me today. I jumped on here. Have now blocked them from my mobile. :)

It's ridiculous the amount of time this number has called me. The fact that the message instantly states they are not for profit and we can't stop them calling makes me think they know exactly what they are doing to people. STOP CALLING ME
