Got a call from a weird sounding dude who said the government is giving me back some money since they charged me xtra taxes n stuff said to call (02) 8006 8078 ask for Jenny Wilson for reference number to collect cheque from Auspost

Copped the same sh*t today from some indian chick on my home phone with the same story asking for my mobile number when i wouldnt give it to her she said to ring back on a slightly different number 80068931 and ask for Jenny Wilson ? Lucky I was skeptical about the call!!

We had a phone call saying to call JEnny Wilson regarding the $4288 Thanks to these comments & complaints we knew not to fall for it.

Had this same call asking to call Jenny Wilson Scam - claiming the Australian Legal Dept why can't the government shut them down.

Add me in the list. I got a call today as well. They had my mum's name in their record and said she will receive $4,288 refund for extra charges she paid in last 3 years. I told him that my mum doesn't have any utilities under her name nor any mortgage, only charge she has paid in last 3 years is 5$ a month for her bank account, which $180. He said he will check the file and call back.

A family member just had a call from Jenny Wilson asking for bank details and claiming $4000 was available as a result of banks over charging fees.

Had this call just now - Asian sounding man said he was from the Reclaiming Dept of Aust Fed Govt and that I was owed $4288. I was instructed to call Jenny Wilson with a reference number to arrange for my cheque. He already had some of my details which he asked me to confirm - year of birth, address, mobile number, which caught me off guard a little. Ten minutes later they have called again to ask if I phoned Jenny. When I said I hadn't they asked 'don't you want your money?' and then hung up.

Jenny Wilson called and spoke to my uncle claiming that she had some money that the government needed to pay to him and he was entitled to recieve $4,288.00 but first he needed to go to the post offica and get the Western Union form to send money... and after doing so to call back to speak to herself Jenny Wilson and the number she asked him to call back on was (02) 8006 8078. when my uncle got back from post office she asked him what does the form look like and the colors... he replied green... so this scammer now knows the color of the form to scamm more people.. she talked quick and gave him hardly any time to understand what she was saying and said write down this check number 291086 this is the check that david hudson will deliver to you, but first deposit $290.00 she also informed him not to worry aboout that money he will get it back in his check.... when he said i have no money she said call back when u do... he said but what about the money you said im entitled too and she hung up the phone... TOTAL SCAM!! donT FALL FOR IT PLEASE.. LUCKY I WAS HOME TO SPEAK TO MY FAMILY ABOUT IT!! THIS IS SO FAKE AND ITS NOT OK!!

they did the same thing to my family today as we asked why we had to pay money and they dis connected the call. Jenny wILSON CLAIMED SHE WAS THE SUPERVISOR.... SHE SAID THAT DAVID HUDSON WOULD DEVLIVER A CHECK UP TO THE VALUE OF 4,288.00 AFTER HE DEPOSITED $290.00.. THE LADY HAD AN INDIAN ACCENT..

They called me as well offering 4500 dollars but you first have to deposit some money ($290) and wait in front of the Post office and don't get in before they give you instructions :( :( .... what a stupid idea is that - all sicret etc... Tired of all those calls and scams :( - No I did not deposit any money (luckely for me) but I've learnt it a hard way (being a victom of another scam for $600)and from now on if it's too good to be true it's just not true. Can someone stop them?

Said they were from Australian Banking Association and wanted to give me back overcharged bank fees.... requested my mobile number and bank details when I wouldn't give them they said they'd phone back with details about what post office I could pick a cheque for the money up from.... didn't ring back
