I received a call from 'Telstra' claiming to have detected spyware on my computer and she really wanted to help me get rid of it. I needed to check that Event Viewer wasn't trying to get my data! I suspected this was a scam and told her so but she was insistent that the call was legitimate. I said I would check my computer in the other room and call her back on the number she gave me: (02) 8006 5493.
