No call, just a message.
Says Bank alert, that card has been deactivated temporarily due to suspicious activity & to call customer service on that number.
Our card is still working & our bank does not temporarily deactivate it, they cancel it totally & reissue us a new one.
Idiots didn’t mention any bank so just playing on everybody has a card of some sort.

Got a text message from mobile 0475 435 634 saying your debit card has been blocked due to suspicious transaction, online payments, cash withdrawals cannot be made until this issue is resolved, and to call that (02) 8006 5057 number asap.. it does not state any bank name etc.. or much else.. think its hoping someone will believe it.... It is a scam.. do not call or respond to either number , My bank has been notified and agree it is a scam

Received same message. No bank name in message alerted me to possible scam, so checked the number before taking any action. Thanks for maintaining this site.

Caller: Text Message, no phone call

I also got the Bank Alert Message. I was suspicious straight away as the name of my bank was not referenced in the message. Checked my account and all transactions were legitimate and card is still working. My bank would call me and cancel the card straight away if their was a suspicious transaction. Scammers!

Received near identical message, but referring to debit card. With no bank details & message sent from mobile number 0475 435 634 - clearly scam

Got the same message. Phoned the number they asked (from landline) - couldn't understand what they said when answered, asked who it was, they paused and said Commonwealth Bank - I said I don't think so I don't have a commbank account - they hung up ! BIG SCAM
