Called me from several different mobile numbers claiming to be from visa and mastercard security department and said there was a suspicious transaction made on my account. Was very rude when I questioned them and gave me (02) 8006 5260 to call. Haven’t bothered since reading these comments

Caller: Indian girl called Rachael

She advised me that someone had put $4500 of travel costs onto my Mastercard and wanted me to load anydesk and give her the resultant id so she could access my computer. I told her I didn't think she was from the bank and Kevin came onto the line as her supervisor. They gave me a number to phone them back (02) 8006 2560. I put the phone down and never returned the call.

We got a call from these guys today, similar story to those above. Why havent the Feds or Telco's blocked or cut off this number, they were very persistent. We googled this number while on the phone to them and read some of the comments, he still swore that they are legit and dont blame him when all our money goes missing

An Indian accent man claimed to be Kevin called me today and said he called from visa card security department to investigate few international transaction payments from my Commonwealth visa card. When I questioned him for authenticity, he said I could call back (02) 8006 2560 to ask for him.
I didn't bother to call after reading comments.

Caller: Visa/Mastercard transaction

Got a call from.a mobile number about a transaction being made from usa the purchase was decline due to insufficient funds? I did not believe him so he got someone to call me from this number using the same line thinking he was from my bank he didn't even know who I bank with bunch of idiots BECAREFUL

Very big scam please don't get tricked in to it. They do not even know your first name that is a problem.

This is bullsh*t shut them down they are scammers and got me today

A woman with an Indian accent called today from 0413 387 729. Claimed to be from Commonwealth Bank security section. Asked if I authorised a payment to James Gibson from New Zealand. I replied "No" I became suspicious and told her I would call back. I was given (02) 8006 2560 and to speak to Alan Stevenson. I asked her which account and she fumbled saying it started with 5217. Seemed interested in recording answers in "Yes" and "No" questions

Caller: Jack Williams

Advised me that a suspicious payment had been paid from my Commonwealth account (I'm not with Commonwealth Bank) ... and I immediately asked for his name, phone number and address from the company he was calling. He gave 02 8002560 with the address 800 Bourke Street Melbourne. I immediately blocked him. This scam has been operating for over 1 year ... why can't this be investigated??

exactly the same experience as the others - indian woman calling from CBA about fraud on my account - very noisy background and gave me this number to call. Called from 2 different mobiles then this sydney number - very persistent!

SCAMMER NONSENSE about mastercard charges. Gave (02) 8006 2560 as the call back number.

Two calls today. "Bank Security". Indian accent. A lot of noise in the background. When I asked "which bank" he persisted with "bank security".

Caller: Joseph Williams

Called from mobile number 0414 083 051 and it was an Indian. Blasted him as he wanted to confirm details and claimed that we had a Mastercard when we don't. However they knew which bank we were with so we asked to speak to a manager and was given this number. Definitely a scam! There seems to be a lot of relatives from the Williams family working for this company!

Caller: Jenny (CBA) Indian accent

Said suspicious transactions in America trying to purchase cryptocurrency. Wanted Wife to install AnyDesk - She didn't.
Gave the number (02) 8006 2560 to ring her back.

CBA said they will never ask a customer to use AnyDesk & the only number they give out is 132 221.

Shonky as Hell!

Still going, visa/mastercard fraud and after 5 different operators (3 were named Kevin!) trying to get me to install and app on my phone to "secure my bank account" I got this number from them.

Same experience. She then called from more than 10 difference mobile numbers asking me to install anydest remote app. and gave me (02) 8006 2560 to call back.

Same as everyone else. Indian fellow, calling from mobile said $5000 taken from my VISA account today by a Joseph Latimer Jnr (!). i was suspicious so said I’d call him back. He gave name and number James Franklin (02) 8006 2560

Same thing as everyone else, got a call from numerous mobile numbers with indian accent saying they are from CBA VISA/MASTERCARD security department, and that a payment has been authorised to someone in New Zealand and they have verified it with the person receiving it and they are my relative. I hung up as soon as I heard this.

I just got a call from an Indian man in a very busy call centre who said he wanted to verify if I had made a donation of $1200 to someone in America using my visacard. I told him I hadn't. He started giving me instructions about how to download an app on my phone so he can get access and make sure the transaction is cancelled. I stupidly let him do it and half way through changed my mind and said I was going to ring the bank to confirm his details. He gave me this number which i googled. How stupid am I!! I am an ex bank staff member and he had me convinced.

Caller: Martin Smith

Told me my visa card had been used for ebay $300 and western union $600. When I told him I had to confirm this by speaking to other family members he told me to call back on (02) 8006 2560 and he was calling from (02) 7251 9500. He had an Indian accent and was calling from a very noisy office. I will be calling my bank but not him
