Caller type: Scam call
Location: Australia
Called me and left a message, said I hadn't filed my tax return, that if I didn't ring them back immediately a warrant for my immediate arrest would be issued. Needless to say I didn't call them back.

I smell an indian scam Rat

I fortunately did not lose any money nor give any details, however it would be easy to see how people get caught, i.e old people, people with limited computer skills etc. this is a dangerous con. Once they have remote access to your computer they can access your BANK details, personal information, the list goes on and on...and hey, once they do obtain your bank details and other sensitive personal information they then charge you for the priveledge via your credit card for the services they put onto your computer and all the "malware" they "removed." Note also the spelling errors in bills post, bill you are either very niave about your personal information and computer sercurity? or more likely your actually involved in this scam. i suspect the latter. Game is up. For all legit people reading this go to scamwatch and see how cunning they are. Spread the word.....to as many people as you can.

Just got a call from them two minutes ago.said they are calling from "Windows" not even Microsoft.I'm Indian based in Melbourne and these guys are fraudsters for sure. I was given two names "Collin Moss" and 'Ron". Very western names with Indian accent.I spoke a good 5 minutes with them and asked them how they got my number and where they are getting this info from. I told them I'm from IT security and am actually logging the call. "click" they hung up.So please beware and don't give them access to your PC.

I got a call yesterday from an indian with the same windows rant (no mention of microsoft), wasn't hard to figure out he was a cockroach regardless. I had to laugh because a crow was crowing in the background and it was clearly throwing him off, so i stayed on the line to see how he was going to recover.  I said mate, you guys have crows in your office thats awesome. No effect, just continued. After a while of waisting 'his' time i said i had to hang up so i can pick my nose so i said give me your number i'll call you back some time. To my surprise he gave me this number. I'm not game enough to call it back.

I think one of the best ways of pissing people like this off is to ask them to hold the line. Just put the phone down and go about your business and eventually they'll hang up.  If you're a good actor make your please hold sound really sincere.  They work on productivity.

Scamming dogs

Same here folks if you get a call from that number they are scammers for sure. Indian or something when I called back. You must report this number to the police and or scam watch or AFDC. Do not give them passwords or any information. Beware of these dogs
