Same experience as the above 2. Asian accent of some description. I was even given a name "Michael Yohan" and a supposed Telstra incident number of D 650120 as well as the call back number of (02) 8006 1258.
Total Scam

Just had the same call - very pushy Asian female - I am going to be disconnected for 2 hours a day for 6 months. What a load of .......

Had a phone call from someone saying they were from Telstra this afternoon. She told me the phone call was my final warning that my internet was going to be cut off due to the fact that our computers had sent 7 fault messages to our IP. I asked her to give me a registration number or the name of her supervisor and she came back with this phone number. Then my husband asked her why, when they called twice this afternoon previously, when he answered they just hung up on him. She repeated her story about being a final warning and we were about to lose our internet service. I asked her to give me the name the internet was registered in and she was all "One moment, one moment..." then it was "please be patient with me" ...this went on for a good while, (probably 2-3mins) and then she came up with our name and address. I told her I didn't believe her as she had our phone number and could have quite easily found out the details online. She got quite nasty with me so I told her to blow it out her arse, and I hung up on her. She gave me this phone number to ring (02) 8006 1258) and verify but I am not going to do that because I know it's a scam and if I call them, then I'm inviting trouble. The other phone number she called from is this: (02) 4369 1369 - which is / was registed to a K Wilson in Saratoga NSW.
