Australian banking association, yeah right!

Had several calls fom this number wanting banking info, refused and hung up and they called back 3 times in a row, tried to call the number back and of course direct to message bank

This number just rang twice 9 April 2016 but hung up once it hit the machine, no message. Read the comments below, glad I didn't pick up. Do you think it's coincidence they started about 30 minutes after I used my home number in entering an online competition? Anyone else enter the Ayam products promotion?

several calls from this number, caller asked if I was Mrs X (we are in the phonebook under my Dads surname) I explained Mrs X has been dead for 12 years the person (with accent) she oh well who are you then, and I said well who are you and she hung up, dodgy spammers, arggghhh hate them

Add another to the list. 100% scam call.

Second time I get this call, asian woman saying she was from Westpac and that I was overcharged on some fees and wanted to reimburse me. I said stop with this scam.. and she hung up. So annoying! I hope no one is silly enough to fall for it!

Had a call from this number this afternoon, asian lady named "annie" stating she was calling from Commonwealth Bank and said that our account was showing unauthorised activity. Wanted my d.o.b, when I told her that it was funny that we don't bank with the Commonwealth Bank, she hung up.

Just got a call from this number, an Indian accent male can tell my surname, and claiming calling from Australia Banking Association and would like to confirm if i am happy with my bank. I said yes, and he asked whom do i bank with? i said i work in a bank and i never heard of this association. He just keep asking me the same question if I have happy with the bank, what the name of the bank is. I finally said sorry mate can't tell you that. He then just hang up.

Just had a call from this number.....knew my name.....claimed from banking organisation. Hung up when I asked her what it was about?

Just had a call from this number - said she was from Westpac Bank & wanted to confirm details so as to arrange a refund from the bank. She knew my name & address & wanted confirmation of other details.

That same number is still at it. And they keep records!

Had a call from this number on 11/12/2015 with lady with Asian accent stating she was from the ANZ bank and we had been overcharged and she needed the DOB of the account holder, when we told her we would not give out that information she said she can not proceed with the refund and we just hung up definitely a scam! as the bank always states they have this information and will normally not ask you for it up front. Fishing scam for sure scary that it goes on so long unchecked by Telcos or authorities.

had a call today 16/11/15.from a male with a heavy accent wanting to confirm my bank account, and I said to him it was none of his business. He asked me again and I told him I don't talk to people I don't know and hung up

Had a call from this number claiming to be from Suncorp,she was wanting to know my DOB I told her she rang me so she should have that information she quickly hung up. scum bag scammers

just had a call from this number telling me in Asian accent that she was from the head office of the Commonwealth Bank. Told her she wasn,t and hung up

They called about five minutes back. Purported to be "Annie Davis" from CUA and wanted to talk to me about overcharges. Wanted my DOB. When i said no, they hung up.

Had a call from this number today, lady with a strong Asian accent (not intended to be a racial comment) - purporting to be from MyState Financial - same story - been overcharged,and need details to pay back - told her that they would have my bank details, and to pay the refund to that account,then I hung up!

Just had phone call from a lady claiming to be from national australia bank asking for my date of birth to verify my bank account saying that fees had been removed from my account and that they were going to refund. Number that called is (02) 8006 0864. This is a scam Called nab and they confirmed its a scam. Do not give any info out !!!
