Call back number for Bank Refund Scam
Blocked call from Indian call centre telling me this was the Aus Govt calling to tell me that I am entitled to $6325 in bank fee refund. They wanted my DOB which I fibbed and then I was to call (02) 8006 0455 to claim my refund. I called the number with and they said they were the Aus Govt refund office. I hung up.

Reported to ACMA and ACCC- Report these scammers and post so they will stop!

Wow, they owe me $6325 also, how fantastic for us all!! I gave a false DOB and was told to call Alan Johnson or Maria Edward on this number, quote my case number DB193. Can't wait to chat with them tomorrow and give them all my personal details...idiots

This indian speaking lady spoke to me about a similar sum of money that the Reserve Bank is going to refund to me , she gave me a case # PG 142 and to call her supervisor alleged name Alan Johnson who speaks like a full blooded Indian on that number above Alan asked me to go to the post office and get a Western Union form then come out of the post office and call him. This form is for me to pay a lawyer in Australia who fix this refund for me and it's going to cost me $290 dollars for a lawyer's fee what he didn't know was they call the lawyer a solicitor in Australia.

Had the same thing and I too was going to receive 6325. dollars. Got to the part where they wanted money for me to get the money. When I said I was recording this conversation they hang.

Funny they owe me the exact amount you are owed, nothing fishy there.
Same number to call back on and all. I didn't bother to call it.
