Scammers pretending to be from Windows Technical Centre. They will act like wanting to help you fix the virus on your computer (when there is nothing wrong with your computer), but are actually trying to get you to pay for something you don't need. They go by names like Suzie Smith, Glen ...etc while they speak with a slight Indian accent.

Ha ha, some of these posts saying microsystemtech are ok, clearly are from the company itself, guys brush up on your english and you may seem more convincing. SCAM SCAM SCAM

Had a call yesterday from these guys, telling me all the same stuff as the previous posts, using scare tactics to get you to commit, even saying my local computer tech isn't good enough to fix what is wrong with my computer only they can. while he was trying to convince me to allow them access to my computer I searched them online and found the complaint and scam posts about them, when questioned about this, he said that person was a rouge employee who was ripping off customers but he now doesn't work there, I began laughing hysterically at his response and he became quiet agitated telling me my computer will crash because I didn't believe him. Beware of these guys, I'm not racist in any way but I now go by the motto, if they have an indian accent just hang up.

Just had a call from a dodgy company, as I'm an ICT Operations Manager, the alarm bells rang straight away..... however they had my personal details.. name, st address etc.. They said they were from the "Windows Service Center".

So I ran with it a bit out of curiosity, they got me to open "Event Viewer" and asked how many ERROR alerts I had (which were a few, but I know what these errors are), however they kept telling me these were from Internet Viruses. Then they got me to open "Windows\Inf" directory in Windows Explorer, and said they were all downloaded viruses.... Now I know they're bullsh*tting me, cause I know exactly what file types are stored there and why.

So I escalated the call to one of their managers, who still insisted there were problems.. I must admit they are persistent bastards.. Then they wanted me to go to www.logmein123.com and enter a 6 digit number, this is the point my ISP just happen to cut me off ;-) so I told them I lost Internet access while I secretly searched for details about them on the Internet. I laughed when they told me their technician could also fix my Internet connection from my Modem to my ISP... LOL.

Eventually I told them we had other things to do and demanded a recall number (which they wouldn't give to start with). The number was (02) 8006 0187, which after a quick search told me they were were listed as "MICROSYSTEMTECH" and also as "REMOTE TECH SOLUTIONS" working from Bengal in India.

This is definitely a scam, they ring and use scare tactics so you think you have PC problems and viruses, then they make you pay a service so they can fix it, but really there is nothing to fix.....

yes this is the same story wid me too...and they are based in kolkatta park street.(west bengal) indiathere is guy steve jordan who has first scamed(taken) $458 from my sister for the lifetime service.which is not there...and on the name of trust he has taken $150 and said to send it to india.on the name of sukhwinder ajmani..this is a scam....the all are really mother f***ers..ashholes...

I had exactly the same experience yesterday and then today someone else tried the same thing.   I was on the computer but refused to go to the final degree of signing up so he then became realy annoyed.   I put the phone down but that is the second time he has phoned in two months.   I also live in Queensland.The man today also tried to validate himself and then said he was from a large company so he did not know everybody???!!!I am pleased to see it is a scam as I suspected although he was quite plausible for a while.

You and your friends are trying to convince people, in very poor English, that this is not a scam. You are failing because everyone knows that it is.

These guys called me and as I used to do some tech support I challenged him about how would he know what my PC was doing. I said you are either breaking the law or being unethical (poor example for India's credibility), anyway he got really flustered and hung up.  I regret that because then I got an angry one calling me straight back telling me what he was going to do to my family (jokes on him I don't have one). Received a call. Caller very persuasive. Said that Windows provided information that my computer was about to crash as it was seriously infected. Handed me over to a "technician" who appeared to have a lot of my personal computer information. He actually showed me where problems were! I was incredibly spooked and worried. Didn't really become suspicious until he admitted that the fix up would cost money and that I needed to purchase a service from MICHROSYSTEMTECH. Aggressive sales pitch and shady information almost cost me money. Don't entertain this company. If you have computer problems seek a legitimate technician of your choice.
