Caller: A SCAMMER

I just got an SMS message with a Commbank Logo on it saying and that I should call them back immediately on this (02) 8005 6789 phone number about a recent suspicious account login but I immediately suspected it was a SCAM and so I instead, phoned Commbank on their publicly listed 132221 contact phone number and yes, they confirmed that this was indeed a SCAM and that 02 number does not belong to Commbank..! And so, I have now permanently blocked them. Lesson..?? Be VERY SUSPICIOUS, OF ANY, SMS OR PHONE CALLS you get, that are SUPPOSEDLY, coming from your Bank or ANY Financial institutions you have dealings with Folks, and ..BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING, ..ALWAYS, call them yourself, directly, on their publicly listed ‘Contact Us phone number’ to confirm, whether it was, them, who sent you the message or phone call that you are now wondering about..? It will SAVE YOU FROM A WHOLE WORLD OF PAIN, ..OTHERWISE…!! 😉👍

Number BLOCKED, and this SCAM attempt has been reported to the REAL Commbank

Received a text supposedly from Commonwealth Bank advising of a payment to an account and to ring this number if this was not made by me. A scam for sure.

I rang back the number I rang back the number, spoke with someone who hung up right away
