received an email about a recent purchase of an iphone and to contact this number if it was not me making a purchase. rang once and disconnected. I am already in overseas and nearly waste my time and phone credit to make a phone call to a potential scammer.

"Tax Office" scam. Don't under any circumstance respond!

Said there is a law suit against me,
threatened about being arrested

Got a call from automated voice saying it's the Australian Tax Office. I hang up straight away as I knew it was a scam because the same thing happened to my mum. Called a few times back on private and it was busy at first, 3rd time it just rang out.

ato scam

someone called me on that number, explaining that my ATO account was in audit and that I needed to call back asap or I will be arrested

Caller: They said they were the ato

Recorded message saying they were the ATO. I hung up

It is a scam call pretending to be the ATO. it is being reported to the ATO for investigation

says from Aust Tax Office that a legal complaint against me is being pursued

I rang once and got disconnected
