Got the scammer today

bunch of low life cardboard box dwellers. Trying to outwit the rich white man. Yeah right. To all you who fall for it:- You deserve to lose every cent. You would have to be pretty dumb to fall for these scams.

I do not answer calls from 028 0r 029 as they are telemarketers.

Had similar call from this number today..... I keep getting similar .... what is the point

The number kept ringing for at least 5 times. Told them to stop but they ignored. Really crazy.

These people have called my office at last count today 37 times. I was having some fun with them at first but sick of it now.

Same call from this number about claim for accident 2 years ago, thought it was a scam and it annoyed me immensely...unfortunately some poor unsuspecting person is going to fall for it. These people are shameful.

I am on the do not call register. Indian accent guy claiming to be from Accident claims Department .He hung up after being questioned . Just another scam. Just why can't Accc do something about these calls.

Said they were from an accident claims department. I said this is a business and I have no claims and they hung up.

Yep, just got a similar call to others on this page, said he was "Paul Daniel", his office was as 20 Martin Place Sydney. Very heavily accented voice. Fed him some bs rego numbers (and name) he said he would call back...will get back on here if he does.

Looks like they are starting up again - similar Accident Dept. message. The indian sub-continent accent is a give away. Trying Western Australia numbers this time?

Accident insurance scam. With a 'new' silent phone number, I thought I'd be ok, but several calls in the three weeks I've been connected. I lost it when they just called, as soon as the woman said she was from 'the accident insurance' I said. "No, you are a scammer, and what we do here is report scammers and do this! Blew the whistle. Haven't used it for ten years but I am so fed up with this rubbish, why can't they be stopped? It really worries me about the more vulnerable, elderly people, and people whose first language is not English, who have no idea about this sort of scam.

Called. When I pushed, said they were calling from Australian Claims Authority.

It could be a sales-lead generator for Gorman Law. If you have a few spare minutes, set your number to Private, call (02) 9279 1500 and ask them the exact same questions they asked you. When they start to get grumpy, remind them that this is the same telemarketing approach they use to vulnerable people and they should be ashamed of themselves. Hang up when you've had enough.

Just had a call from this number which followed a call from (02) 8317 3159 who were calling in relation to a car accident. I had told the first caller I didn't have a car..... knew it was a scam, and hung up. They're obviously trying to work the scam by using various numbers. Ratbags!

This is a Sydney number.
I have had at least 3 calls from them in as many months.
The guy told me he was from a firm of lawyers.
Why can't some ethical outfit identify which firm owns this number and shut them down?
Answer: the NSW Law Society will stop mere mortals taking action against their criminal lawyers.

Accident scammers.Getting the whistle out ,sick to death of them

Yes I just got called - asking whether I had an accident in the last 2 years. They couldn't tell me what company they were from nor what they wanted from me. They got nothing from me lol.

This is a scam! Indian based call centre who ring unsuspecting people to tell them that they were involved in a car accident and that they need personal details to verify a claim.
DO NOT give these people the time of day! They are a sham and if you try to challenge them they get defensive and hang up. AUSTRALIANS BEWARE!
