we had the same call the amount was the same but now it is $199.00 to the( weston)union

I had a phone call yesterday from RECLAIM EXPORT. The first individual that called me spoke with a thick indian accent. He knew my name, phone no, and residential address. He stated that he was an employee of the Australian Government, and due to some fraudulant business practices by some companies that I have used my credit card with, excess fees have be charged to my credit card. He stated that I have been chosen to receive a refund of exactly $5,248.00 and that this was my hard earned money and I am entitled to it. He asked what financial institution I was with. By this time I was begining to smell a rat. I asked him his name, and he said it was "Mike Hayden". That was the clincher. I was almost certain that this was a scam then. He then asked me to write down an Application code and call another phone number to speak to his supervisor, and give her this code to prove I was who I said I was. The phone number for his supervisor was (02) 8003 6770. I phoned her and gave her the application code, I am kicking myself for not writing down her name!, even though it would have been a false name as she also had a thick indian accent. All the while, I could hear that they were in a call centre, as the background noise was of many people talking all at once. She then gave me the cheque number, and it would be delivered to my door by a Mr Mark Hill. All I had to do was to go to the post office and pay a one time lawers fee of $160.00 and then my cheque would be delivered. She asked me when would I be able to go to the post office, and I said on Friday. These phone conversations took place on Monday evening at around 6:00 pm. So I am expecting another call nearer friday. I am so glad I found this web site, as quite a few of the other peoples stories are identical to mine, even down to the amount I am owed. I told Mike Hayden that if the Aus Gov wants to refund money owed to me, then they can use the exact same process that they use when depositing my disability pension into my account. What a bunch of theiving, manipulative, deceitful, bludging maggots they are. I certainly hope not all indians are this dishonest. i thought they were supposed to be a spiritual and religous race of people.
