(02) 7908 4175
Call from this number blew it straight away, by shouting “Attention” as their opening gambit. The Australian voice then crapped on about TIN court cases and fines, and after a while said “press 1 to find out more”.
I love a good laugh, so I pressed 1, and some dodgy African lady, whose English wasn’t great, answered purporting to be from a finance dept. “How can I help you?” she said
Convo went like this.
“My name is Hugh Jardon
I did have a huge bill too, but I can’t afford to pay all in one go. Can I pay a portion to you now if you promise not to take me to court. “
She said “Of course, how much dollars would you be wanting to be paying?” (Great English haha)
I asked don’t you want to know my address and TFN?
She said “Ok, and how much do you owe?”
So I said My bill was by the Farque2 dept (I spelled it) from a Mr Euran Idjit.

My Tax file no is 10 digits (clearly not! Lol) 9873210654
“Ok, how much are you owing?
So I said $76,543.21c, (still no penny drop.)
“So if I pay the 21c, will that be enough to stop the court case?”
She says “ok, So you will pay 21,000 yes?”
It was easier to say yes.
So I asked if I could use a credit card, “do you accept American Express, Diners, Visa or MasterCard”
“We can split amongst all of them” she says
I’m trying really hard not to laugh.
So I say I’m just going to get all the cards.
Left her for couple mins on speakerphone, she kept going “hello, hello” so I shouted from the other side of the room “coming..”
Anyway, every time I came back, there was either someone at the door, or the kids needed attention, or food was burning, etc. Each incident took a few minutes.
After about 25 mins, she was getting quite irate, so I started giving her credit card details. Each time, the (wrong! Lol) number was different by one, or the CVV was different. So as each one was getting declined for $5250, I’d try another card.
She’s been on the fone 45 mins so far, so I thought I’d try to waste her time for the full hour!!
While she’s trying, I suggested that if she was hot looking, that maybe she’d like to fly to Aus to see me. (Remember she’s meant to be in Aus anyway), so I said I’d pay for flights, and asked where she’d have to fly from. LAGOS she came back with (gotcha ya dumb bitch), anyway I quickly said (before she realised she’d shot herself in the foot) that “maybe the cards are declined because over the limit. So try 5,000 on each one, then 4000, then 3000etc”
I’m now at 1hr25 mins as she’s repetitively trying the different card no’s. I’ve then said I need a break, she said for tea? I said no, speaking with you has made me horny, so I need to wank. She says what? I explain what wanking is, but still doesn’t stop trying the cards. All the time she’s going lower and lower, and she says when she gets to 100$, which was also declined, “maybe the numbers are wrong?”
Ya think!!!
So I asked so does that mean you don’t want to fly to Aus from Lagos and be my mail order bride and sex slave?
She hung up me.
I managed 1 hr 38 mins. Much fun.

Overseas scam callers "Government Solar Rebate” using a spoofed (fake) number. Diverted to scammer answering machine, I hope they enjoyed the chat with it.

They call you using Skype, so it bypasses the Do Not Call Register.

Said they were from the Victorian Telephone company and said they were going to take 30% off my next phone bill. Since "Victoria" doesn't have it's own telephone company and the prefix o2 is New South Wales, I know straight away this was a lying sob scammer on the other end. He said in order for me to claim this rebate I would have to transfer funds into a nominated bank account. I won't repeat what I said to this Maggot.

This mob called this afternoon but I didn't answer as the number was very suspicious. Called again after 6pm, then 8:15pm, 8:50pm then again at 9:10pm. This was apart from 3 other scam calls through the day as well. I'm exhausted from running to the 'phone all day. MONGRELS

This number has called numerous times this week including twice this afternoon, claiming I will end up in gaol due to tax file number etc etc... but hung up as soon as I answered. Tried ringing it back and got a message that "this number has been disconnected due to suspected or actual fraudulent activity"...BUT they have just rung again and silence on the line.

Call was blocked as spam and am not gullible enough to call them back. Only this number was different by a digit - (02) 7908 4174. I'm also on the Do Not Call Register, so not sure how they got through. Slippery bastards.

Even if you were on the Do not call register, it's not that well known that it's only relevant for 2, 3 years so you have to re-register.

They called said I was in debt with the Tax Office and if I did not want to go to jail I need to pay (I knew these were scammers) because the ATO do not call that way, I know because I work for a Tax Agent. I decided to play on and asked the caller politely could I put this call on speaker , he said that would be okay. I said because my husband wants to hear, he sad that would be fine. I then told the caller my husband is a policeman. The caller hung up very quickly
