Just had a message on my phone advising there was a warrant out for my arrest for tax avoidance. Called back number but no answer. They hang up.

I called them and soon as he opened his honest mouth I knew DAT sexy Indian accent and being an Indian meself, I started pounding him with Indian good words 'Maadarrr Choddd, Maa Ki Chooot' so folks, use these words and they'd think 10 tines before calling anyone :)

Had a similar call on tax avoidance. What a nuisance.

I hope these scam artist have the taste of their own medicine when the real police come knocking at their door with handcuffs

Scam call from an unnamed person from an unnamed company calling regarding unpaid taxes to an unnamed authority or government. It comes from 1300 121 816. American or Filipino-sounding caller, just leaves a message in a robotic fashion. Totally dodgy - don't give these criminals any of your time.

Yep! Me too i wrang the number but no answer! The mans voice sounded very strange , he said that i should either ring him myself or get my lawyer to ring him ! Ect ect ! Dose this sound familiar!

I suspect they will charge and collect some exorbitant fee for you dialling that number

Yup,. just got the same call - i'm being extradited back to my home country (Australia) and a warrant has been issued for my arrest!

Just rec'd the same call - agree, do not return call. Another scam artist!!

These guys rang my home number to speak to my wife and left two messages on the same day.
She could not hear the message properly but did pick up ATO, tax evasion, that registered letters had been returned and that a summons would be issued.
Our accountant told us that the ATO would only contact him, that all correspondence goes to his address and that on the ATO website we owe the ATO nothing.
It would be great if the Police would arrest and jail the people behind this

Had a call today they left a message saying that there's an arrest warrant out tax avoidance for someone in the family. Didn't say which family member it was or anything. Didn't say what company they're from. The only thing they left was the number and a long message using obviously scary sounding words.. It's clearly a scam

I got the same message today too, 99% sure it's a scam, well I'm not arrested yet lol, undoubtedly the most f#cked up scam message I've received yet.

Just had a call from a private number advising me that the ATO were issuing a warrant for my arrest unless I called this number, sounded dodgy so I did not call.
