Caller: The claimed to be from the ATO Dear Sir/Madam,
On Tuesday 18th June at 4:07 pm ( Central Time) I received a telephone call to my mobile from the following number:
(02) 6590 1954, which came up on my phone as being from Port Macquarie, New South Wales .
The call was an automated message, claiming to be from the ATO. It said because of an ATO violation I would be arrested if I didn’t Press 1 now to resolve the matter. I didn’t and waited to see what would happen. The call ended without further instruction. In all, the call lasted 40 seconds.
Can you please investigate.
