Claimed to be from tax office. Same as the (02) 6216 1111 scams reported. Have reported to ATO scam office.

A scam claiming they are from the ATO and threatening a warrant for your address.

He told me I would go to gaol if I didn't press "1". I didn't. I called back and the number is not connected.

I answered a call from this number, it was a computerised voice stating that it was a final warning for tax debt and that I needed to press one to be directed to someone to pay my debt otherwise face arrest. I hung up and logged directly into the ATO website to double check that I all my tax was up to date, which it was. I believe this is a scam call

Fake ATO call

When I answered I heard a recorded English voice telling me to connect to the Tax office immediately by pressing “ 1 “ to avoid arrest.

Never ever ring back on these numbers..scams..ato scammers..they would call fr overseas india and give u the impression that u are getting a call fr australia.

Automated message saying they were apparently from the Australian tax office. Hung up as it was suspicious.
