Received a scam call from a place called Brand of Choice Telemarketer, told me about a survey I had entered. No survey done from me. told them to buggar off, not interested.

He said he worked for DHL at Sydney international Airport.

Muttered some company name I couldn’t hear over a noisy call centre background and said I had entered an online competition and blah blah blah couldn’t understand what she was blabbering.

The call originated from when I went to what I though was a legitimate Bunnings website promotion to win a free gift card and I put some details in before it went to the ‘not much more’ ‘almost done’ rubbish. I closed the page and reported it to bunnings.

Blocked from now on.

I didnt answet the call but if it was these telemarketers and going on what you say i guess ill get a call later on today probably at the worst time. Im also on the do not call register so i guess that one slipped through,

Scammer, hung up on me when I asked questions.

I've had calls from this number and (02) 6181 1501, I called them back from my office landline and they said that we had entered an online competition, and they wanted to speak to my wife. I said no and the Indian sounding woman became agitated.
Interesting to note that a Canberra number that starts with (02) 61XX-XXXX is a VoIP number and could be physically located anywhere in the world. Physical Canberra landlines all start with (02) 62XX-XXXX.

annoying terrorists

No message but if you call back via a land-line, they say they require your mobile number before they can say why they called you. Warning bells when an entity is reluctant to say what their purpose is. BLOCK 'EM!!

BRANDS OF CHOICE. Scumsuckers. Rude, invasive, non-stop calls pressing for personal information. Also MASSIVE increase in overseas phishing/scam emails at exactly the same time the calls started. Reported to ACMA.

The telephone number says ACT on the mobile, but the call centre is in South Africa.

Entered a competition for Pat Callagahan's 4x4 show, never again! You get this survey thing about 'would you like to donate to xxx', 'would you like to know about life insurance', it went on with me saying no to everything but too late, my details have obviously been passed on. I got a call from this number too, have blocked this number now after everyone's helpful info. Cheers.

I think it is a Telemarketer.I fill in a survey ( Woolworths Grocery Gift Voucher).My phone haven't stop ringing all day since I completed the survey online.So DO NOT COMPLETE THE SURVEY....you will get calls all day like what I am getting. Beware of this smart way of getting your personal info. Got sucked in big time......I will be more cautious next time round and definitely staying away from this kind of offers out there.

Spam call

This is the 3rd call today and 8th call over the last few days I have received from a number of companies saying I have "entered a competition" this is not true I don't enter competitions for this very reason. From reading all the forums I believe someone has passed my number onto a number of telemarketing companies ....... they are all Pains in the A***s
