Annoying caller, they ring multiple times and then don't speak when you answer

They call twice a day for the last 4 days.
When I call back it says ‘number not connected’
How is this legal, the number must be connected in order for them to make a call out? Surely Telstra knows who this is?

I have never answered this number as most times my phone has rung whilst I am at work, however, also have numerous missed calls at various times of the day and night. Very annoying if you forget to turn phone down or onto silent, particularly if working. Have blocked number which stops for a little while but always seems to find its way through to my phone again. I know these charities have to earn a living ....but if not answered why do they try time and time again??????

Don't block them. They'll just start leaving you blank voicemails.

I have a contact called "Answer But Don't Talk" that I add numbers to for people who leave blank voicemails.

Calling on behalf of LifeLine Australia. A charity and therefore not bound by the limits of the Do Not Call register. When they do a drive, they do it in a very annoying way. They also have a tendency to leave blank voicemails if you don't answer in time. They also call from (02) 6185 1553, (02) 6185 1582, (02) 6185 1592, (02) 6185 1593.

They called today, I tried to ring back but recorded message said the number was disconnected. The laws need to be changed that allows these idiots to be anonymous.

How can I stop this number from ringing me ?? I’ve already blocked it and it just keeps calling !!

yep, this 02 number rings me each week ifnot every fortnight. foreign speaking I think or theres no one there when you. I ignore every time.

They rang twice today. First time I didn't say anything and they didn't either. They ended up hanging up. The next time they rang, I stayed silent and he asked to speak to (my name) but I didn't say anything and he hung up. I want to know what they're going to say before I say anything.

Dim wits

They have been calling me for months you answer and it is dead line no one speaks. Cant do much when you ring it back land line says optus regrets that this line has been disconnected or some such garbage. If its disconnected how can they be ringing me. So annoying and it is always at the most inconvenient times.

I have reported this Phone N# to AFP.
It should be good if all of us sent our reports to there.
