This is a scam number. DO NOT disclose any personal or Financial details. Do not ring back from your mobile. I have alerted the ATO.

Threatening call which asks you to call back if not will arrest you and harm you, and damage your home/city.

Someone please report this to the Australian Security agency, given the sevearity of this message.

Got a call from this number. I said I was Harvey Specter and said they don't wanna mess with me and if we go to court, they're the one who gonna pay me. I guess they watch "Suit" after all. :p

Caller: someone called Michael Hassis

Man told me I had been short listed by Australian Government to get a grant of $3000 something dollars. When I questioned about the grant he hung up.
Definitely a scam could hear other callers in the background.

Caller: Automated message

I was thrilled to get a call from these lowlives. Rang them back after they left an automated message and abused the hell out of them. I plan to keep ringing back and doing the same every day

I dont answer unknown numbers - they left a vmail and cited a reference number and said if I did not call back that a warrant would be issued for my arrest.

Called them back and they claimed to be ATO and that a warrant was out for my arrest with the AFP for tax evasion. They even went to lengths to imitate calling the AFP and have another number call me claiming from AFP and gave me option to clear my arrears within an hour before being arrested and a court case launched against me with fines of $97000 and potential 5 year sentence.

I was in tears at this stage, kept arguing that it had to be wrong and it was the first I heard of it. About to make the payment but when they mentioned payment by bitcoins I hung up. I've blocked the number and reported. ATO sites this scam nearly word for word https://www.ato.gov.au/general/online-services/identity-security/scam-alerts/#September2018 so finally have calmed down and feel better.

Caller: Claiming to be Australian taxation office

They said they are calling about tax investigation and I needed to call back immediately or they would arrest.
What is being done about these people!

THIS IS A SCAM! They try to say that you owe money to the ATO and if you do not pay that you will be arrested immediately. Do not believe this at all, it is disgusting that people do such a horrible thing as it is very scary and alarming

Caller: Claimed there were the AustralianTaxation Office

I called back, they said they were the ATO, asked for my details and when I wouldn't give any and asked why they are calling me they hung up.

Got a missed call from the above local number. Something clicked when she asked what my city name is. Horribly unpleasant woman who threatened me saying the federal police have a warrant out for my arrest. Yeah ok lol.

I have just received a call from this person threatening to arrest me LOL

Left an automated message claiming to be from ATO, saying I need to call them back or they will issue an arrest warrant.

I have got the same message, some one please take action

got the same message today saying ATO will arrest me but reason was not specified......weird call.

Claiming to be from the ATO, left robot message - i called back and they said they have audited my tax return and i better get a lawyer - then they hung up me!!

Our client just received a call saying it was the ATO and he owed 3,500 and their is a warrant for his arrest, they asked him who his accountant was which he told them our company name, he was put on hold and then he received a call from someone claiming to be his accountant and it was actually our office landline that the call came from but was not us.
