Recorded message when answered say they were from the ATO???
Is this a scam???

Someone claiming is from ATO and need me to pay them urgently so that I don't get arrested.

I've just had the same call. I hung up.

Threatened warrant for my arrest if not contacted back

Left me a robotic voiced voicemail saying if I don’t call them back then they would issue an arrest warrant. No name or the reason for their call.

Also received a call saying is the ATO

think it’s a scam

Not sure who this is but I didn't answer it as I'm in QLD. No message left so doubt it was ATO.

Got the same call today.

Saying there was a law suit in my name and I might get arrested if I dont call back. Was a recorded message. I did not record.

They left an automated message saying I would get arrested if I don’t respond lmao

I missed a call and a pre recorded message was left on my voicemail.
Apparently a lawsuit was is being filed under my name and if I don’t call back arrest warrants will be issued .

Scammers. Told him if he called my wife again I’d find him and skin him. He has since stopped calling her.

Yes - It is a scam. The ATO does not call from a listed phone number, nor do they use automated messages. They will correspond via MyGov/letter first, or through your tax agent if you use one. A legitimate ATO call will also be able to provide call reference details at request. The ATO will also not threaten arrest.

Message left said they were from Telstra and a Lawsuit has been filed and am to contact immediately.
I contacted Telstra to verify that it was not them

I got this phone call as well. Not said where calling from, but Said that I need to reply ASAP, or they will get me arrested. I think it’s a scam.

Also I got another phone call from0411 824 621, said calling from DHL, that I have to call them and collect a parcel, today is the last day to collect, please call etc. this is an scam!

Scam call ID ..this is not from the ATO

I called the number and they are not very convincing, the person I spoke to says he is an ATO officer in Sydney but couldn't give an address.

Just received a call from this number, a computer voice telling me it was from ATO, and to phone up a number, was obviously a scam.
