Tax evasion, arrest issue if don't call back. Hung up as obviously a scam.

Caller: someone clam to be ato officer

they asked me to fix this with a gfit card .. scam

When I commented that there are scams this time of year, caller hung up on me.

I stupidly returned a missed call, This is a very smart scam, I was on the phone to the alleged TAX Office for 29 minutes before I realised i was getting scammed.
I kept asking hard questions and wasn't getting expected answers.

Left a message saying that my account is marked for tax evasion and asked to call back on the same number. Definitely a scam. I am not calling back.

They are Asian scammers trying to get money from you claiming they are ATO criminal charges department!!!!

I called them back saying that it was an ATO scam and the guy called me a bitch and hung up. It was too funny. anyway its an ATO scam. call back if you want to have a good laugh. I did.

Just received a call from this number of an audio recording saying there is a warrant issued for my arrest due to tax fraud and tax evasion.

I hung up, pretty sure its a scam

I just received a call from this number, saying i was going to be arrested if outstanding funds weren't paid in full.

Was called by a different number that left a robot voice message to call this one, threatening legal action if I don't. Total scam.

Same as above, must be a scam, don't call back.

In an Asian American accent they claimed I had better ring them right away or I would be arrested for tax fraud

This caller claimed to be from ATO advising criminal charges could be laid against me for tax fraud.

I rang once and got disconnected
