Caller: ATO ROBO-SCAM

Automated message - female with British accent saying she is with ATO and I have a tax problem that's resulted in a warrant for my arrest.

I have had missed calls on both numbers (02) 6176 0608 also (02) 6176 0830. Both times i had called back (from a landline) and was answered by an Indian Male (not being racist, just stating a fact) claiming that he was from ATO. The more recent call, i actually said that I in fact share an office floor with the ATO (I don't) and was not familiar with him.. to which he abruptly hung up. Lol!

Left a voicemail, British voice saying from ATO, breach of something resulting in arrest. Called back, answered by an Indian who hung up when I asked who he was. I called back on another number, he answered again, pretended he had not answered any calls today. He asked for my name, I gave him a fake one. Then he asked for my address, I said I would not share any further personal details until he could prove that he was from the ATO. He said, yes I am from the Tax Crime department in Canberra, my name is David Prout, badge number 0421. I said I think you are lying - he told me to f*ck off and then hung up. What a loser.

Total BS blocked the caller they need to get a dam life !

Recording which said that mail had been returned unclaimed from my address and there is a warrant out for my arrest. Total scam.

Caller: Pre recorded message saying that i was in breach and to press 6 to call back. Called back indian accent man but then tried again and continually engaged

looks like scammers...
You missed a call from (02) 6176 0608, who said "Inform you that you account has marked lien for tax avoidation(?). Paperworks sent to registered address has also returned back unsigned and ___." This message was provided by Telstra at no charge to you.

Caller: Supposedly ATO, Canberrra ACT

Automated voice message. Threatening call about tax evasion and a warrant out for my arrest. Clearly suspicious.

I was curious about the Canberra number but an Indian voice answered saying int was the Australian Tax office.I could hear a call centre in the background. I hung up.

Definitely do not make contact with this fraudulent caller. Recorded automated voicemail advising from the ATO with a warrant. Really? The best you can come up with?

Noticed a missed call on my mobile, so I returned the call using a landline and an Indian guy answered saying I'd reached the ATO. He said his name was David Prout badge number 0421 and that I under investigation for tax fraud. Wanted the name of my lawyer to represent me in court. I asked if this was a scam and he hung up. I checked with the ATO who confirmed this is a scam.
