Automated message claiming to be from Canberra Taxation and claiming there is a warrant out for my arrest. I rang back and got a person with a strong Indian accent telling me it was 'legit' and then asking for my name. When I refused to give it to him.....he hung up.

Didn't answer, but still shows Canberra displayed. Seems like the spam number has surfaced again.

Indian man claiming to be ATO

A voice message call claiming that it was from ATO. The call will display Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. This is a scammer.

Scam - should be reported to the real ATO.

Automated message telling me it was the Australian taxation office and there was a warrant out for my arrest

Called back, man with thick Indian accent responded and claimed to be from the Australian Taxation office. He proceeded to asked for my details, when I refused he began to use very disgusting language. DON'T PICK UP CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.

Same automated message, I hang up half way through it but implied there was a warrant out for my arrest as well.
