Caller: Robo Call

Robotic/Electronic voice claiming to be calling from the ATO and advising that court action and a warrant is pending for arrest .. Scam call - didn't respond, but putting this up to let people know that it is going around again.

Low life scammer who are stupid as.

The number (02) 6172 1045 Canberra, Australian Capital Territory called and displayed on my mobile.
Recorded message started to say "This is Australia Taxation Office..".
I realised right away this is a spam call trying to trick me into something and hung up immediately.
Google search revealed I was not the only one targeted.
Any organisation calling would be a person, not a machine; he or she must identify themselves on your request.
Otherwise, even if that is a legitimate call, you have the right to say "If you refuse to identify yourself, I am terminating this call".
Recorded message at the beginning of conversation is most likely a scam.

Robo Call claiming to be from ATO and that a court case had been lodged in my name and to call back. I terminated the message before the message finished.

I rang once and got disconnected

Caller: Its a scam call.

I got a phone call from this number, claiming that they are from the ATO.. a robot voice ( American Voice ) claiming, if i do not respond to this call, an arrest warrant will be issued. Wat a load of #$@&. Either, dont answer, or block the number. Im thinking seriously, about reporting this to the ATO, and the AFP. See how they deal with that.
