Caller: ATO Scammer - (02) 6172 0811 I was called by the above number and missed it - the person left a voice message which converted (somewhat poorly) to text. The gist of it was the ATO were trying to contact me regarding a "suspicious" and "fraudulant" activity. I called the number back right away and an indian lady answered posing to be the ATO. I was suspicious as I had not received any official comms from ATO (via text or mygov/ato inbox.) Beware

Missed the call but left an automated voice message saying that there had been suspicious use of my tax file number and there was a warrant for my arrest. Press 1 if this isn’t accurate..
