Very suspect automated claiming to be ATO.

I received the following call today - looks like this number is being used once again.
DO NOT ANSWER and DO NOT RETURN THIS CALL.
"For the tax fraud and investigation team of our department is investigating you and your family. We have tried to notify you regarding this issue but we had..."

5 voicemails over last week with computer generated voice as detailed on the other reports. ATO is known to have offices all over the country but this certainly seems to be a scam.

Received a call last night just past midnight. Just for kicks returned the call but got the message the number was disconnected.

Left message on my mobile phone claiming to be ATO and asking me to call back. My Accountant deals with the ATO on my behalf - definitely a scam.

Got a computer-generated message saying "last warning before ATO files lawsuit". Called back. No answer. Suspect a scam

i rang this number back and asked if they could prove theywere there ato and they hung up

Voice message claiming to be ATO. When I called back they said they are using GPS to see where I am and the Federal Police will be picking me up in 45 min to take me into custody for tax fraud.

Have received 2 calls quoting this number in the past couple of days. Caller is a robo-dialler, and you're played a canned message spoken by a SE Asian female voice, using very US phrasing and terminology. The message says this is a final notice that "ATO" (only those initials, never the agency name) are "filing a lawsuit" against you, and giving the above number as the office contact number. Clearly fraudulent as no effort made to ascertain who picks up the phone (if it were the Tax Office, they couldn't release that kind of information without confirming your identity and Tax File Number).

Suspect call claiming to be ATO.

Pretended to be the Australian Tax Office and want me to pay $4000.

Received a call from this number and had a voicemail message left saying that the ATO would be filing a law suit against me.
