SCAM - it claims to be taxation office. It says there is a law suit against your name. Robot voice. I read few weeks ago in the news that was the latest style of scam in OZ.

Why haven't any authorities stopped this by now. eg disconnected the number?

Yep said they forwarded my info to the local court house from ato for arrest warrant.

I received a call from this # this morning with a robot stating they were from Aust Taxation Office & that there will be a warrant against my name. Based on other feedback on this site, I am assuming this is a scam.

Called and claimed to be the ATO. It was a Philippino's ladies voice. They were very sneaky and sounded legit at first with all the case numbers and details they stated. She told me I had been charged with 4 accounts of tax evasion and she listed the laws. If I didn't resolve it now, i would be taken to court and if i was to lose i could possibly be arrested for 5 years! I was very guilable and upset. I became suss when she said I could resolve it by paying an amount now and not letting anyone know anything about the details.

It’s a scam, I hung up.

Yes, a robot voice! Claiming to be from the Taxation Office... I have heard there is a scam about involving this claim, and so I pressed the end button and blocked the caller - as they richly deserve to be!!

found them in my message bank. They wanted me to get back to them or they would "issue an arrest warrant and get me arrested". Thinking I might show that message to the police.

Just received one of these calls...threatened to issue an arrest warrant if I didn't return call!
