Exact same thing happened to my dad. 2 foreign men claiming to call from Canberra saying my dad was about to be arrested and they would have 2 police officers to pick him up in 45 mins!

Two calls this morning from same number (02) 6152 8660) first asking for detail info associated with Solar Panel rebates. Second FROM SAME NUMBER 5 minutes after asking details regarding ATO info. Reasonable grasp of English but definitely Indian origin. How stupid do these lot think we are. Say nothing, give them nothing. Just hang up, quite obviously a scam.

I just got a call from this number from some foreign woman trying to sell me solar panels. We get these calls on average about three times a week, mostly from private numbers and people with Asian accents, but this time the number wasn't blocked and the woman calling didn't sound Asian.

This piece of crap just called me on my home phone and mobile at the same time and when I answered the calls they just hung up. I tried to call the number back and got a message saying the number is not in service.

received an answering machine message today from Jason O'Connor saying that the ATO was going to arrest me for tax evasion. I wan't home, but my wife and son listened to the message and totally freaked.

I just received a phone call from this number as I didn't answer in time it went to my message bank. A very poor connection so it was difficult to hear on playback the message stated it was an automated message from the ATO by someone called Jason O'Connor stating that I had a tax claim filed against me and that I would be arrested by local police and I was to call him back to have the matter settled. Definitely as SCAM as Nicole stated on 1st Sept the ATO never phone you they send you a letter.

I received a phone message today from the above number. The gentleman on the end of the line by the name of Jason Occoner proceeded to inform me that he was from the ATO and i needed to phone him immediately or risk be arrested for tax evasion. this is a complete scam. The ATO never phones clients . if there is any issues they will send you a letter. When I proceeded to phone the above number to give them a severing for harassing me, a gentleman by the name of Jason White answered the phone whom sounded remarkably like the the gentleman whom had left the message on my answering machine. Mr White ended up hanging up on me when i refused to give him my home telephone number. what i fail to understand is how these complete scumbags continue to operate when this number is clearly traceable. The Federal police need to get involved and arrest these frauds.

I received the same phone call. As I was not available my call went to missed calls messages. I could not fully understand the message due to a poor connection but I did hear that it was someone claiming to be from the ATO and that if I didn't ring back I would get a visit from the police. I always treat these calls with suspicion and checked the number that was given. My suspicions were confirmed when I logged onto this site and saw that this scam had a history. I then reported this to the ATO who were already aware of it but took the phone number that was given and said it would be passed onto the relevant section. The ATO officer I spoke to also said that if I had called the number I would have been charged for the call.

I received a phone call from Jason O'Connor claiming ATO and charges as above. Looked up on net immediately and found lots of scam/fraud complaint. I didn't bother to phone back. How are they getting through with such a foreign accent and automated telephone message?

Just got a msg on my answering machine. Federal crime commision investigating my husband huh no such person yes im yelling 'not happy just a scam

Received call from Brian Allan yesterday and he received voice message on phone asking for my wife and said he is from Australia federal investigation, gave refference number and contact to call back and call back i did and rest is history..lol
