Scam ATO call. Dodgy brothers!

Yep SCAM - name: Mark Konza with lovely indian voice (not) Sounded like call center.
I was going to be arrested and have 72 hours in Prison - the Sheriffs are coming.

Have left messages several times. Decided to play along and called back. It is totally fake. Don't get upset, just report them. (Unfortunately they have several numbers)

Just got a voicemail claiming I was going to be arrested.

Called back and could hardly understand the phone operator - claimed to be from ATO. But then requested me to go to Coles, JB Hifi, etc. To make the payment, I tried to record the whole conversation (but it didn't work). When I informed the caller that I did not know you could make ATO payments at Coles, and said I was going to google what card to buy, they hung-up.

Really scary that there are multiple complaints and the number is active - I am guessing that they are using some internet landline provider, like Skype, to get an ACT landline phone number.

Will report to police...

Robotics call first, I've called back, braking line and Asian said this number is ATO and He will arrest me. :)) with his good lawyers!!
When I asked who was speaking they said it was "Ben from the Australian Tax Office". Completely fake.

Just had a call from this number with a voice recorded message saying this is my last warning from ATO. I have all of my financial affairs in good order with the ATO so has to be a scam....

I got a call. Robot voicemail saying to call back, which I did. Foreign accent, bad line, saying criminal proceedings were being brought against me and asking if I had a criminal lawyer. I hung up, but am concerned as he knew my name based on my mobile number.

I received one, a recorded message saying it was ato and police would be on my doorstep to arrest me.. But to call back on this number.. Shortly followed by hang up calls from number (02) 6064 2061.

same to me just had somebody calling me with an Indian accent. what a bull sh*t

Robo call threatening arrest on behalf of the ATO. Definitely a scam. Hang up and block

Lodged a complaint with ATO on 1-800-008-540. If you get any similar calls I recommend doing the same.
