Most definitely a scam! NonE of my family members are receiving Pension money. I called Canberra they sounded like they were working at an Indian call centre. The staff members name was April, I asked her where she really was calling from and it didn't sound legit she hung up on me. I called back surprisingly the same lady answered I had a go at her when she asked how much my last payment was from Centrelink. she then said to disregard the messages. SCAM!!!

I just received a call from the same phone number, I called Canberra and they asked for payment details. I notified them that no one in the household was receiving ANY pension money. The staff member (April) told me to disregard the calls. She had an Indian accent. Obviously it's a scam. The background sounded like a group of people just making random house calls in a room and they all sounded Indian. Once I questioned if she really was calling from Centrelink and didn't sound legit she hung up on me but I called back and surprisingly the same lady answered the call. Usually with Centrelink there is no way I would get in contact with the same staff member. SCAM!

Dept of Human Services Centrelink also gave application number 080456

These people could lie straight in bed. I just had the recorded female voice stating the pension rates had increased. Press one if I would like to know more. press 2 if you don't get the pension. I pressed 2 and was shifted to another voice explaining to me how they tried to send me numerous letters ( what about I i don't know) there had been no reply from me.!!! Please call this number (02) 6145 0391 with the reference number 080456. So I rang, the familiar sounding female voice said it was Dept of Human Resources in Canberra, please wait. Then a guy answered said who he was at blah blah, I said he sounded like he was in a call centre, oh no, I'm in Canberra blah blah, do you have a form number? yes, It is 080456. Oh he said that is a reference of a Mr Gregory Wilson. Is that you? No I said... then the phone went dead.

Same here, called and gave reference number then they hung up. I guess I didn't sound like a vulnerable pensioner.

I received a call from this same number with the same application number 080456 a few days ago. I'm a bit confused if legit or not by above messages. They all say scam except for Karen who says it is Centrelink in Canberra. Confused!

Same phone #018000076072 same recorded message from "Centrelink", told to ring #(02) 6145 0391 in Canberra, same reference #080456. Could have been genuine but claimed to have been trying to contact me unsuccessfully to pay money I had claimed for(what money??). Coincidence? I don't think so. Just thought I'd better check- you gotta be smarter than those bast**ds.

This is the number that the automated voice directed me to call regarding my pension...it is apparently Centrelink in Canberra...the voice was also kind enough to give me my application number: 080456. Yay!
