I received the same message stating there was an active warrant for my arrest relating to Tax Avoidance. I replied to the call, replying in a way to all of the scammer's comments so that he was confident he had a patsy on the line. I then asked if the matter related to recent money steam I had embarked on. He inquired what that was and I replied that I have been selling pictures on the Internet of me having anal intercourse with, and ejaculating on his mothers face. I may have used more vulgar words in my description. He exclaimed "Oh My God" and hung up.

I was just rung by Jason O'Connor who said he was from the ATO and that I had a file for tax evasion and was going to be issues a warrant for my arrest from the local police officer. What a joke! The phone number they ask you to call is (02) 6140 3475. the actual number that they call you from is (07) 3018 7514.

THIS NUMBER IS A SCAM
I received a phone call from a private number - I don't pick up private numbers and they left a voicemail. I listened to the computer generated voicemail telling me that I missed a call from Sergeant 'John Smith' at the 'ATO Crime Division' and that I or my attorney needed to phone them back immediately. The number they asked me to call was (02) 6172 0347 so I phoned the number back and an Indian man answered the phone; I told him that I had a voicemail to call this number back, he asked what my name was and when I told him he apologised and said they had phoned the wrong person.

Received the same message 16 Oct.15. Amazing how long this idiot has been doing this for and the ATO haven't caught nor charged him for impersonating a government official.

Got similar phone call today from an Alex saying it was for tax evasion. I said I don't give out confidential information on phone and said I wanted his ATO staff number, he said I don't have to supply it and I said I want phone number to call ATO myself. He said you can talk to me. He called me Miss all the time so I said "OK what is my full name and date of birth as ATO know this", he replied in a nasty tone "you cant avoid the taxation dept about fraud" and I said I am a police officer and you will be reported. He hung up.....sucked in to these scammers. I normally hang straight up but thought I would play this fools game and hopefully he wont phone back thinking I am the law, lol

I received a similar call this morning (12 Oct 2015) It appeared to be a recorded voice, representing the ATO. I was told a Law suit against me was about to commence for Tax evasion. A local Police officer was about to approach me and that I should ring (02) 6140 3475. Obviously a SCAM. Can this be followed up by our Authorities?

Same as the above. Our phone calls from this number were computer generated from Jason O'Connor about tax evasion. Two calls one day - 9th October, 2015.
