Got a missed call from this number. Decided to check out the number which shows that it's a scam, so l decided to call it back. Stating he was Brian Cooper from ATO and that l owed lots of money to ATO, there's a warrant out for my arrest. As soon, as l mentioned that l had already checked the number and that l had reported to ATO and police of this scam, Mr Brian Cooper didn't know what to say and quickly hung up!!

Very similar scenario to some of the above comments! DODGY!!!!!

Couldn’t believe I got a call from these scum today asking for my lawyers number and I told them I would call my lawyer and get him to contact them they didn’t know what to say.

Received a Call from (02) 6100 3014. it Rings Once which is their MO. It is an Australian Tax Office (ATO) Scam. A Msg was left. An American Robotic Voice telling me to call or an arrest is imminent if I do Call. Posted it all over Social Media! Block the Number!

Got a robo message on my phone.

Asked if this guy was from Tax Dep he said he was from Personal Tax department, Case No 92340297 His Badge Number (lol) 9042352, Warrent Arrest number 8157996, he went on to say "you owe personal tax to the value of $3683 for period between 2008 and 2013"
I said "if you want more info from me you will have to go through my accountant", he said "Once I hang up you will reciave a call from the police to come and arrest you" I said "ok great, thnaaks good buy"

Unbelievable! computer generated voice in the first instance. Stating that I was under investigation for tax evasion and there was a warrant out for my arrest! Really?????? Had to ring them back to discuss it didn't I :) Indian voices at the other end..... and I was speaking to Officer Brian :) I said I was very concerned about the warrant and was put on hold then someone with less of an indian accent came on and asked if I was returning the call from the same number they called me on and when I said yes, they knew my name. Then he put me back on to Office Brian who wanted my laywers names as they needed to fill in the courthouse documents!!!!! I said my laywer was a federal prosecutor with the Commonwealth DPP and they hung up and now the won't take my calls :( Total waste of space!!!!!!

Did what one of the commenters on here did. Call them back, ask where they are working, they'll tell you the ATO, I asked what location, they confirmed Canberra, I told them I was in the ATO centre in Cancerra also and asked where they were, they hung up on me. A bit of fun.

I answered a pre recorded message in American accent, but came up as Canberra. I rang back and was able to make out certain words like: ATO, Warrant, arrest, Lawyers, Investigation etc. I got sick of listening to this Peanut. Beware of "Brian Cooper", the Anglo named Indian! f*cking d*ckhead couldn't even get the Actor right, let alone speak English!😂

Just left a message on my phone saying ATO debt and time sensitive. Do not answer or pass on any personal information to anyone from this number.

Just had a call from 061261003014 and an American voice automated voicemail stating I needed to call back regarding tax avoidance and that a warrant for my arrest was being issued that I needed to call back on (02) 6100 3014 when I called back it went to voicemail. I thought it was sus so googled and this site came up I figured it was a scam, some arses have too much time on their hands they obviously don't care who they hurt

Once again this fake number has rung me and left a lengthy recording on voice mail threatening arrest for tax avoidance. Got this same call last year from a similar number, have blocked them, total scam. Filthy pigs.

This call does not come from the ATO, it only pretends to come from the ATO. It is a scam.

Recorded message from Tax Office - smelled a rat so hung up straight away.
Googling the number my assessment was correct.
