This is terrible. I can not believe a**hole out there can get away with this! Stated they were from ATO and i have outstandings and i will be arrested if i do not make these payments.
I feel shocked and disgusted in this! I work hard for my money maybe they should also try that method. Bunch of pricks

hahah Definitely a dodgy scammer, I never answer unknown numbers, let them go to my message bank. Message bank was some robotic call saying I owed money to ATO and there was a warrant for my arrest. bhahahh I haven't even done my tax yet, lol. stupid idiots. I really think it should be ILLEGAL to sell on personal information. I know that somewhere I agreed or ticked a box somewhere or an APP that allows that, but so sick of hundreds of calls every single month. I get about 3 or 4 a day.

This is pretty scary. They call you leave a voicemail and then when you return their call, they already know your first name which some people may believe that this really is ATO.
Don't believe anything they say. Huge Scam!

Apparently the tax department
Leaves a very scary voice mail saying I committed fraud and if I don’t respond quickly there will be a warrant out for my arrest
So I called back it was (Brian Cooper )
He continued to say Tats department did an audit on me and between 2010 and 2015 I still owe the tax department $3682
I sent as I said why have the tax department not audited me as I have done in the past with my business coming out and checking my paperwork etc they hung up on me

So I decided to call them back and tell them how rude they were for hanging up on me if there is warrant out for my arrest I would like to know more information

Why can’t we all report this to the police and they do something about it

This guy called me with Indian accent saying that I am a tax fraud. I told him that I am going to report him to the police and called him a scammer. he immediately hung up the phone. I wonder why Police hasn't catched this bad guy yet!

Told me I was going to be arrested and that I needed to call them back straight away as this is time sensitive. I did and when he told me he was from the ATO I asked what department in what state, he was in fraud department in Canberra. "Oh really so am I where are you sitting are you the new guy I'll come say hello" he hung up. I don't work for the ATO any more than he does

Had the same issue 2 days ago. Was told he was from the ATO and that I needed to pay up. Checked with my accountant and realised it was a scam

A scammer reporting to be from the ATO trying to get an immediate settlement to avoid legal action.

This guy obviously has not been caught nor stopped. Missed a call - went to voicemail - message said I was being contacted because of tax fraud and as this was a time sensitive matter I must call back immediately. Got a bit suspicious about this type of message, so checked the number here! I was right to be suspicious.

Got a message from this number. Rang them back claiming I’d had been fraud ing the ATO and owed over $3000.
Had a really strong Indian accent and had trouble understanding him.
When I started questioning him, he kept repeating himself over and over and that made me wonder something wasn’t right. When I asked to speak to his superior he got really rude and hung up on me.

Have rung the police to inform them but they already are aware(said that they have had thousands of reports in the last 6 months), and there is nothing that they can but put out warnings to the public. They look like they are calling from a Sydney based number but in actual fact it is from overseas and the numbers keep on changing!
Just be very wary! Nothing but horribly scammers!

I went out without my phone. Had 2 missed calls from (02) 6100 3014 an unknown number so used this site to check the number. I received a similar call a year ago and phoned my accountant who advised me it was a scam and to just ignore. It is a worry that these people have not been caught and stopped.

Had a message from this number yesterday about an unpaid tax debt, can't anyone do something about these serial pests!

Yet another scam purporting to come from the tax office. An unrealistic computer-generated voice making dire threats. I really do DISLIKE these people.

ATO legal department but the not the real ATO department. Couldn't give me an address for contact.

This is a great service. Tied up his phone line for hours. What a looser BEWARE.

They got me too until I asked them my address and he had it wrong! told me there was a warrant for my arrest if I didn't pay $5k! he hung up when I caught him out!
