Did not answer the call already listed on my iPhone as DNA/DNC so I got this message converted from Telstra :)

"You missed a call from (02) 6064 2047, who said 'On a state or a national. Do not call it. This message is to notify as per our recent audit. We have identified incorrect and or no tax filling.' This message was provided by Telstra at no charge to you."

Poor wording in sentences and unprofessional. They must have really bad auditing since I was credited my full tax as I earned under $18,000 last financial year and the number they called is not even listed with the ATO nor did they know my name :)

Ignore this automated indian man - is surely a scam. Asks for your lawyer to call to discuss tax lodgements. Do not be fooled by this low life. Do not call. Hang up immediately.

Just had a missed call from an unknown number. Left a computer generated voice message saying that I hadn't signed or returned documents & that I'll be arrested if I don't return their call on (02) 6064 2047. Claiming to be from the ATO. This is a scam & I have notified the ATO of it

I received a message today saying I would be arrested. Had an Indian man the other night, told him I didn't pay tax and that I was wise to him. He slammed the phone down.

Automated message about tax avoidance. I deleted the voice message immediately. Surely it is scam.

Mum received a call from this number, missed so called back and asked who it was, person said what? and hung up.
Received another call later, answered and got the same recorded message that was in the voicemail, which was something along the lines of "this is the ATO, there is a warrant out for your arrest for unpaid funds we have had difficulty contacting you because you're on the do not call register (I wish) we will be contacting the police to proceed further action for tax evasion if you do not contact us on this number immediately"
So we rang the ATO and reported it, yes it's a scam.

trouble is they can do nothing about it how weak is our system

Got the same fake ATO investigation message today.

Scammer claiming to be from ATO, he asks for personal details and says you'll be arrested if you don't give them to him

I had to messages from this number on 13th June reporting to be from the ATO
What is wrong with the authorities Phone Companies Police Etc.
These people need to be put in Jail and throw away the key, preying on old people men and Women, There was another number they where calling on last month.
I suppose it shows how weak our communication industry is in Australia

Had a message when I got home claiming he was from the Tax Office, saying that I would be arrested if I didn't return the Indian's call from Sydney. Claimed I would be fined and asked me to contact my lawyer!! THIS IS RUBBISH - HANG UP IF YOU GET THIS CALL!!!!!

Just got a voicemail. google'd the number and it found this page, thank god. I have also called the ATO to advise them of this and let everyone I could think of know. Worrying to think of the elderly and vulnerable people that will get caught by this.

The scam automated message informed me that there is a warrant issued for my immediate arrest due to an unpaid account.

Had a phone call from this number this afternoon, a recorded message (or a person acting like a recorded message) saying something about the Tax dept & a debt (that never happens)....Hung up...............then rang it back. no ring tone, no answer, just disconnected.
Then 3 hours later I received another one from a different number. (08) 7228 5218).......I said hello twice they hung up saying nothing

I received a call too with similar content. I have brought this to the attention of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) Scamwatch team on the link below https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/report-a-scam. Encourage you guys to report the same.

Had two automated phone messages from the number in the last two days. I don't answer the phone call. Will report it to the ATO and local Police.

This pest rang my home phone today leaving a disjointed message about halfway through I hear ring us back immediately before this is escalated to """Supreme Court" or get your lawyer to ring us asap
